City of Arts and Sciences

A colour and monochrome study of Santiago Calatrava’s sculptural cultural complex in Valencia.

Hemispherical glazed building and its reflection at blue hour
01Hemispherical glazed building and its reflection at blue hour

This series reads the City of Arts and Sciences through water, white structure, public scale and changing light. The colour sequence holds the blue hour, reflections and the warmth of the illuminated complex; the monochrome frames concentrate on curvature, repetition, contrast and the people moving through the site.
