The Belgian Pavilion creates a shaded public passage beneath a double-curved timber vault in Dubai’s Mobility District. Nizar photographed the pavilion around the opening of Expo 2020, moving from the planted exterior at daylight and dusk to the louvred threshold, structural soffit, circulation and interior scenography that describe the visitor’s route through the building.
